Erin Spring, CNM, MSN
I have been fortunate to work with some amazing midwives since 1998 when I began working as a Labor and Delivery nurse and then once I graduated from Frontier school of Midwifery and Family Nursing and started catching babies in 2008. I enjoy educating moms-to-be about pregnancy, birth and achieving their birth goals safely. Birth N' Beyond allows us and our moms to use midwifery in its full scope. Outside of BNB, my family and I manage a Scottish Highland beef herd and enjoy reading and gardening.

My passion is working with women and families! I love what I do and I am so grateful for the opportunity to support and empower women. Midwifery allows me to share knowledge with women that helps them make decisions that are best for themselves when it comes to their health and well-being. My undergraduate degree is in Sociology and Women's Studies from Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. I graduated from nursing and midwifery school at the University of Pennsylvania in 2009. I started my career as a midwife working in Rhode Island until 2015 when I had the pleasure of joining Birth N'Beyond. When I am not catching babies I love to read, knit, garden, do yoga, hike and be with my family. I live with my husband, 3 silly children and 2 crazy dogs in Elmira.
Patty Chamberlain, FNP
As a RN, I was employed in labor and delivery for 18 years. I then became an OB educator and patient care manager for Guthrie Clinic. I have been a Family Nurse Practitioner since 1995 and joined BirthN'Beyond in 2012 where I enjoy providing care for all aspects of a women's life. I provide physicals, birth control, same day sick visits, care for menopausal issues, treatment for osteoporosis, and primary care for women.
In my spare time I enjoy golf, gardening, and especially traveling to the beaches of the Carribean.
I started my nursing career back in 1992, in 2007 I became a Registered Nurse knowing the place I wanted to work was labor & delivery. I worked in that department for the last 10 yrs working with some of the most amazing midwives. I was inspired by working with them to continue my journey of educating, supporting, and empowering women during their pregnancy & birth. In 2019, I graduated from Frontier Nursing University receiving my Masters degree in Midwifery. I have been fortunate to work with the amazing ladies from Birth N' Beyond as a RN, & now I practice along side them as a Certified Nurse Midwife. I'm so glad for my journey & my goal is to continue to provide care, educate, support, & empower the women I have the pleasure to meet along the way. Outside of Birth N' Beyond I am very family oriented I spend as much time as I can with my husband, children, & grandchildren. I love to craft, travel, walk, hike, & run. +
